Thursday storms bring down trees across Mid-Michigan, leaving many without power
News 10 crews spotted downed trees across Mid-Michigan Thursday night
LANSING, Mich. (News 10) - High winds, heavy rain and strong storms hit Mid-Michigan Thursday night, with multiple tornado warnings issued throughout the region.
News 10 crews spotted a tree that had fallen onto a home on Armstrong Road in Lansing, causing damage. News 10 was told no one was injured.



The eastbound I-96 entrance ramp from Business I-96 (Cedar Street) in Ingham County has reopened after a tree fell onto the roadway.
A 21-year-old man was killed after crashing into a fallen tree in Hillsdale County.
In Holt, cleanup efforts were well underway Friday morning after a number of trees fell, taking down power lines in the process.

Tens of thousands of Michiganders were left without power after storms hit the area. After climbing well over 50,000 statewide, about 16,000 Consumers Energy customers were still without power, as of 2 p.m. Friday. Check the Consumers Energy outage map here.
